Curly Doggett started his stock car racing career in 1949 and was soon competing on the NASCAR Sportsman circuit. By 1958, Doggett was racing sprint cars in IMCA, BCRA, CRA and USAC. Doggett was inducted into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2004.
