Frank Brennfoerder started his career in 1948 at Deshler, driving track roadsters. He continued in the sport, moving on to modified stock cars, supermodifieds and sprint cars throughout the Midwest for the next 25 years. Brennfoerder built many of the cars he drove as well as performing engine work for many of his competitors, and had the reputation of always being willing to help a fellow racer. During the 1960s and early 1970s, Brennfoerder not only campaigned his own car, he also drove for others, and on occasion would have someone else drive his car. Throughout his career, Brennfoerder, with his positive attitude, has been a long-time ambassador for the sport of auto racing and display of sportsmanship. He was inducted into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2001.
