Bob Kosiski
Bob Kosiski became an Omaha racing legend, winning the Sunset Speedway point championship a record 11 times, along with owning the all-time record for wins. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Kosiski competed in the IMCA Late Model division, winning several big State Fair races, and also raced in the 1960 Daytona 500. Kosiski’s biggest win came in a 100-lap IMCA race at St. Paul, Minn., on August 29, 1960, where he defeated Ernie Derr and Ramo Stott. Kosiski was inducted into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 1998.
