Chuck Sears started out as a driver in the late 1940s, but found his real calling when he first picked up a set of flags. Waving the bunting at many Central Nebraska tracks throughout the 1960s and ’70s, Sears was one of the most colorful flagmen of the era. He was inducted into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2003.
