The Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame held its 2010 induction ceremony at the the Lincoln Firefighter Reception Hall on Friday night, Oct. 15.

Nearly 300 people were in attendance to enjoy guest speaker Davey Hamilton and celebrate the induction of six new members into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame.

Inducted were Gene Barnett, official (deceased, award accepted by son, Bobby); “Merywn Mert” Dunker, official; Bryon “Speed” Hinkley, driver (deceased, award accepted by Bryon Hinkley III); Al Humphrey, driver; Wayne Lewis, engine builder; and Bob Woodhouse, owner and driver.

The ceremony was followed by a tour of the nearby Smith Collection Museum of American Speed, along with socializing and reminiscing.
